I have a 3 year old hen who has been recovering from crop impaction surgery for a few weeks and very thin as a result. My worry is that although she is getting better and seems healthy she still weighs only 3.5 pounds and has had very watery diarrhea for several days that does not seem to be getting better. Here's a photo:

It looks typical of hot weather or not getting enough protein. I thought she just wasn't getting enough to eat at first but now it's been almost a week of seeing that she eats very well. She's had access to organic layer crumbles and free-ranged all day and I've been feeding her scrambled eggs, greek yogurt, garlic, and onions each day. Could the diet change cause this? I must admit I am one of those ignorant people who has yet to worm her flock, but I planned to do that as soon as this hen recovered. Could it be worms? Should I risk worming while she is still somewhat fragile? The diarrhea is getting more frequent! Please help my hen!

No one has any idea?

Guess I'll just keep up with the eggs and yogurt, keep her as hydrated as I can and hope for the best.

Not for sure about the crop impaction part at all but I think I remember reading about how yogurt is good in small doses but to much can cause watery stools. Also when my chickens got stressed from a near stray dog invasion they all had the nasty watery runny poops. Sorry it not more info but this is beyond my chicken knowledge :( hope she gets to feelin better though

This is actually pretty helpful. She'd be reintroduced to the flock this week and has been very flighty since being picked on a little. Maybe the stress if all that's causing it?
