One of my hens has developed a yellow 'chalky' looking eye. The other eye is fine, and hen is doing fine.
Could this be an injury, virus, bacteria??? Any treatment? Thank you for any input you may have!

IF you can get and post a picture that would be very helpful for all. (See Uploads)

If not, then, there is a Neosporin Ophthamolic (Ophthamolgy) (?sp) ointment for eyes on animals... it is quite pricey.. I paid about $17. for this tiny tube.. of course you only use a little...
Pull up or out the outer lid just enough to line the inner side of it with a little ribbon of the ointment, let it close, also I gave it a little gentle rub with my clean finger to make sure it got inside... just a minor dab.

If not that, look for VetRX.. it says something about eyeworm on its directions... although it sounds more like an infection, fungus or injury since you don't say it's swollen.

Please.. I encourage everyone to use the Search here on BYC... that is an excellent resource.

Good luck... and welcome.
