Hen with yellow skin/root of feathers and the sytpoms of leg mite

Scaly leg mites don't really make a coating that I know of. The leg scales look raised, because there are mites under them. Yellow skin or legs in itself isn't necessarily abnormal.

Here are a couple of links. The first one has some pictures to show what body mites/lice look like. If she has scal leg mites, just put Vaseline or Pam spray or something similar on the legs every day. to smother the mites. If you can handle the bird easily , a gentle leg washing with mild soap and water and a soft brush first may help things along.
