On Monday, a hawk attacked her and I was able to scare it away from her. She survived and only had one tiny puncture on her wattle. The next morning, she had one eye closed and I brought her inside to isolate her in a warmer shelter. She’s been very lethargic for the past 2 days; she’s interested in the food presented to her, but pecks at it once and goes back to falling asleep. We’ve been blending her food with water into a paste; we put a little into her beak at a time and let her swallow. Whenever we offer a bit of water to her beak, she will drink a little independently; we have been putting electrolytes in her water. She’s still alive as of now. (In the pictures, it shows both of her eyes closed. When we hold her to feed or clean her bedding, she will open one eye like normal and partially open the other; then, she will start to fall asleep/relax).

Does she have any debris or bubbles in the eye? I would continue to offer food and water up to her beak for a few days. She might have some soreness or a head injury that may improve. Hawks really can hurt them. Her eye being closed can make it difficult to find food and water, so helping her for a bit may help. Are you putting any Neosporin on her puncture wound?

She does not have any debris or bubbles in the eye. I did notice that she was awake/kept her eyes (the other one, that is usually closed, was a little over halfway opened) open for a few minutes earlier today. We are putting Neosporin on her wound.
