She's accepted six. She's never hatched out more than that because usually we only put 5 or 6 under her when she goes broody. This little one in the house has no injuries and seems perfectly fine, so i guess we'll just raise it inside in a box with a heating pad until it can stay out in a tractor on its own! Right now it still gets too cool at night for a single chick this tiny.
Yes, she's got shade from the sun, and protection from the rain.
