Hen won't come out of nesting box

I have a Buff Orpington hen and she won't leave the nesting box. She sits in there all day and tries to stay in at night but I take her out and put her with the rest of the flock. There aren't any eggs underneath her either and she has her feathers all fluffed up. She is about 8 or 9 months old. Please help me!!!

Sounds like she has gone broody on you for some reason. Do a search for how o break a broody hen and I am sure you will get lots of ideas.

Thats what I thought but she isnt sitting on any eggs

they don't have to have any eggs under them to be broody. I have one that is quite content to sit on a golf ball or an empty nest.
