Hen won't leave me alone!

My girl, Louise, is acting very strange. She is following me around, under my feet, and is loud when I'm not right next to her! She is driving me nuts. What's the deal?

If that doesn't do it, then she wants treats. I bet she's gotten treats from you in the past, and she will remember that. She knows if it happened once it can happen again. It's how chickens' minds work.

I went out for a bit and came back and she had laid an egg. Perhaps she was just uncomfortable and wanted extra love? I love her and want her happy but jeez she was really clingy!

I had a pullet lay her first egg yesterday and she was acting exactly the same. Guess they don't do Lamaze classes for chickens

I recall having an older girl like that. She would go crazy, trying to get into buildings to lay that she had never been in, let alone laid in! She went on like that for two weeks or so, then resumed her normal behaviour. Strange, but there you go...
