Hen won't let other hen lay

I have a hen that keeps pulling the other hens out of the boxes and won't let them lay. Does that mean she is brody

Could be that she is about to go broody, or it could just mean that she's a bossy, dominant hen. You could try making your nest boxes a bit more private with some curtains or higher sides.

I had the same problem but I wouldn't say she 'pulled' because it was a full on attack of any hen that was laying. I tried to deal with the dominance and aggression issue but it resurfaced again and the logistics of sealing off nesting boxes at the right time each day became too much so she had to go. First time I have given up on a hen and at such a relatively young age (9 months).
