I have a year old hens that is fine with my 10 week old chicks during the day but won't let them roost at night, I have plenty of roosting space but she will peck at em and pull their wings until they fall. If I don't open the coop within a half hour of it starting to get light she pulls a bunch of feathers out of thelittle ones... They are plenty big to defend themselves but all of e but my wyandottes seem terrified
