Hen wont use coop with others?????

I have 4 bantam hens, one is a cochin, 2 are mixed, one a golden seabright. I also have a golden SB roo. The SB hen was the last aquired. She hangs with the mini flock all day, but at dusk, comes all the way up on my deck to roost on the railing, even in the pouring rain. We take her down and into the coop once it is dark and they will all sleep together, but same story the next evening and so on....any ideas on this one???

maybe try putting her at dusk before its dark and give her a treat once she's in the there?

You are dong fine. She will get the idea sooner or later. Treats as a bribe might help.

I agree, keep doing what you are doing. When I have to house care injured or sick chicks getting them to return to the coop becomes an exercise in patience. Some get the idea pretty quickly others well lets just say they are not rocket scientists.
And also a caution about using back halls for a hospital..... if I leave a door open in comes the chickens...
