Chicken's Name: Duck Feet

Other: This guy was the only one in the batch that didn't have black, slate or white legs, so his nickname of Duck Feet became his name. He is half Ameraucana and half Cornish cross. He got sold because we had too many boys, I didn't have the heart to "cull" him, and someone was looking for a young easter egger cockerel to replace their rooster.

Other: It won't be too much longer and Sassy (the hen honcho) will start to lay green or olive eggs. Her dad is also an Ameraucana. Not sure about her mom though.

Other: Another half Ameraucana - Lady Gray has been showing signs of being close to laying for the last month. She even squatted down when I tapped her back.

Category: chick? She's 9 weeks old

Other: Cinnamon Roll is an Orpington colour cross (BBS and Buff, I'd say second generation). Our daughter fell in love with her when she spotted her at the breeders as a 3 week old chick. I have to say I've fallen in love with her too. She is a very sweet chicken and has begun to get very friendly with us. And she's so pretty.
