hens and hurricanes

I bought her as a hatchling at a reptile show 13 years ago. She was a little bigger than a golf ball. Very interesting, strong willed creatures!

Is this to "weight" the shed down so it won't blow away? That might work in a light tropical blow but a hurricane carries tornadoes and flying debris, and you don't have to be close to a body of water to experience flooding due to the torrential downpour that accompanies even a cat 1.

We're going to put the rabbits in smaller carrying cages since they just crouch down anyway, and scrub/disinfect the hutches and our huge brooder to house the chickens in since they're roomier. All of them can go into the barn (really a detached garage, well made) which unless a tornado gave us a direct hit would be fine. Believe me, I'm not feeling smug about this plan... I lost everything in Hurricane Andrew in '92 (I lived in Florida City) and then suffered extensive damage during Charley in '04 (are hurricanes following me??). Like I commented on in my first paragraph, there are many sources of destruction during a hurricane. All any of us can do is the best we have available to us at that time.
