hi,im new on here and have a problem..LAST WEEK WE bought two layers and four pullets,we left them seperated for two days till we built their pen but since we put them in there no eggs, there were three the two days..anyway we thought maybe the pullets were stressing the hens so we bought the pullets in the garage to seperate for a couple days now but no eggs..what is the right thing to do??my son in chloride has the same problem with his also..we are using the same feed as they had as not to make dietary problems.

I hope you find the answers you're looking for here! One way to help get the right answers is to keep an eye on where you're posting. You might try asking this question in the Chicken Behaviors and Egglaying section instead of the Introduction area.

But since I'm here, I'd suggest giving your girls a few more days to come around. When I moved mine in they layed for one or two days, and then stopped for about a week until they got adjusted to their new place and the stress of moving. You're not doing anything wrong to cause them not to lay. Or maybe they are hiding eggs from you in anticipation of Easter

Welcome to our forum!

It may take considerably longer than a day or two for them to adjust, like a month or more.
