Hens are dieing with no apparent reasons!

I've lost 3 hens in the last couple of months. None of them acted sick at all. They are free range. Each time they had been active and laying fine. Just found them dead. One in the yard, One in the barn and the last, this morning, in the coop. They had no injuries, just laying prone. I'm baffled! I felt around the vents and didn't feel anything at all. The first one was just a year old, the other 2 are about 3 years old. I'm devastated!!

I would recommend finding a lab to send one in for necropsy.
