My hens are constantly beating each other up. Many only have a few feathers missing but that's it. Some go to as far as having chest, wing, and back feathers missing. My two roosters are both as sweet as can be and don't beat any hen up. They have been like this for months and I don't think it's molting. A few hens have no feathers missing and are looking plump and healthy. Any tips?

Hello %CHlCK3N and :welcome

It is probably the pecking order. This is always among your hens, but it gets extra bad exactly like that when there's new chickens joining the flock, and they will fight with each other. When I got new chickens the old ones were picking on them, and they were even BLEEDING from fighting. Have you got any new chickens recently?

Not yet- most of my chickens were bought at around the same time. My two roos are newer but don't get beat up too often.

Taking the aggressive ones out of the coop for a couple weeks will drop them in the pecking order. It may help.
Thanks! However, I have no where to put the bullies at... is there something else I should do?
