Thanks for this info. Was worrying that I might be getting an aggressive hen. Knowing this helps put my mind at ease. I am thoroughly enjoying my girls and was hating the thought she might become aggressive; esp since my grand daughter loves to go in the coop and run and feed and interact with them. They seem to allow her to pet them easier than me.Her crouching and arching her wings is actually the exact opposite of aggressive behavior and is actually a submissive stance and a completely normal chicken behavior called "squatting." You should see that once your other girls are close to laying or start laying you will see them do the same pose.![]()
