Hens crop full and hard before bed, is this normal? (chickens appear to be in overall good health). Crop is hard but can be moved about. It was empty by morning thankfully, just curious to know if this occurs in anyone elses chickens

Chickens don't eat at night so they often stuff their crop before bedtime and digest that overnight. As long as it is gone in the morning it sounds perfectly normal.
