So last night one of my hens was having a late egg lay before dark, and I noticed she was eating her oyster shells, which is normal, she did drop her egg last night on the coop floor, but this morning she still wasn’t herself. I felt her crop and it’s gritty, not super full, under half but I think she ate too much Oyster shells, my question is will she digest these, she’s not eating or drinking so I’ve been giving her 10cc of probiotic water, and massaging her crop, she did finally poop a little. If she can digest this much, how long would it take? I also just gave her a small amount of olive oil too and massaged it in. I did try to make her vomit, but nothing. I want to make sure she doesn’t get sour crop with this. Please any advice would help.

I would not try to vomit her again.

See how she does as the day goes. Make sure she's got water and withhold food.

Have you felt inside the vent to make sure there's not an egg stuck?
Photos of poop may be helpful too.

Generally they should be able to process and expel oyster shell no problem. If she's got something else going on that's blocking or causing inflammation internally, she may have a more difficult time.
