Older, dominant hens of any breed can crow. Some breeds are more likely, but any hen can have a hormonal imbalance that could cause it. However, any 16 week old bird that's crowing is male, regardless of breed.

I know that but thanks for the info. I posted at the beginning saying it was a cockerel!
