Hens feathers gone,..did the rooster do it?

Just in case...If the pecking continues after you move the rooster and the skin gets broken I had really good luck with Blu-kote on two of my ducks this past fall- a rabbit beagle got hold of both of them and really tore up their lower back between their wings and their thighs. So just in case if the skin gets broken , i put blukote on twice a day for about a week until everything scabbed overand they are fine now. The only problem is the blue in blukote is a very blue kind of blue and it will be on their feathers until they molt again. I only mention this because sometimes hens will peck at other hens if they have a bald spot - I really hope moving the roo fixes your prob. good luck again

Thanks guys,....you have been a big help

I finally got my rooster moved to his quarantine pen last night. Just in time as one of my BA's has a small bald spot developing.

He is not a happy boy!

The pen is a bit small, but it is only temporary until new chicken coop gets set up.

Saturday and Sunday I was around the hens more often than usual and heard a couple of them really complaining about his attentions. He even shoved one hens head through the fence in the process.
