I have posted my problem weeks ago, and I have tried everything to get my 3 hens to stop breaking and eating the eggs. This past 2 days I have been getting eggs that are not cracked. The wierd thing is that my crested duck has been going in their nests to lay her eggs and my 3 girls have been laying in the nests with the duck eggs. None are broken all together. The duck would never go in the house all winter and layed her eggs in the snow and muck for the longest time. Has anyone had something similar happen? Could it be that the duck won't allow the hens to break her eggs? Its wierd.. I really don't want the duck in the same house, because of the cleanliess issue, but if it means I an gonna get eggs, is it ok??

probably because, they have the calcium they need now and it no longer interests them to do that.

They have always had free choice oyster shells. Who knows... I am just glad it stopped! Thanks for the reply!
