Hens getting close I think

They are starting to disturb the nesting material in the nest boxes!!!! first sign of something I hope

My Girls are starting to disturb the nests also! Does that mean something? Also, did someone say that their wattles and combs get really red? I have two hens that are red like that. My hens are 17 weeks old. I know its probably too early, but.... do you think they are gearing up???
