. I have a BO that has been spending extra time in the nest box for the last month, but the other day she went full blown broody. She is my sweetest girl, I felt sorry for her so I gave her 6 eggs to try and hatch

even though I dont need anymore chickens!

Mine were sitting on unfertilized eggs so I switched out some standards.... I already have 17 chicks in the brooder and I also do not need anymore chicks but who can resist?!

my d'uccle did the same about 2 weeks ago, i have been willing her for about 3 months! put 3 chicks under her, she is the GREATEST momma ever, 3rd time she has been broody, just the best teacher, protector, setter etc, i love it when they go broody
