Hens just devoured dried/baked eggshell

Mine get both also, but I do bake or hard boil. If egg accidentally breaks I'll scramble egg and shell all togetherfor them and cook together. No egg eaters here.

Mine love eggs shells I have oyster shells out but they wont touch them!! but the baked egg shells I only put out once a week and no sooner do I put them out they are gone!!!

i used to just throw some of the eggs they lay and they act like their starved

Mix the crushed egg shells in with the oyster shells.

That's what I do. If I don't, the eggshells disappear too quickly.

This evening as it was getting dark I had a batch of eggshell to put into the calcium feeder with the oystershell and mine came off the roost to have an eggshell snack.

They always gulp some down when it appears but they don't overeat it.

I had a hen soft laying eggs, and tossed her some shells and did the same, devoured them. They know what it is and how it helps them. Nothing to worry about.
