Hens just starting to fire

Mine are doing better also, I got 7 yesterday and they were all hard shelled.

Eggs are looking better now. I'm sitting here on the porch listening to 3 hens firing at the same time. I guess I was a little taken back that some started laying at 20 weeks. I thought RIR started around 24 weeks but I'm not complaining at all.

My 17 RIRs are averaging 6 eggs a day now. Shells are looking normal now. I noticed by the level in the drop box feeder they are eating more oyster shells than before also.

I have my drop box feeder divided for 50 lbs of oyster shell and 80 lbs of feed (2x - 40lb bags of Nutena). Whoever thought up the drop box feeder idea was a pretty smart person.
