Hens laying, too young or too old?

How do I know if the perch is too low or to high? Whhhere is th eposition it should be in? and what kind of perch? Can you send me a picture of some perches, ideas? Or know of a site that has a picture so I can make one and position it properly?

Ange, have you done any research on raising chickens before you got these? Looked at any pictures of how different coops are set up? If not, you might want to do that now. Google "chicken coops" or "chicken roosts".

I'm not trying to be snarky, but this is pretty basic and easy to find info.

No you are not being sharky. I did do research but still have confused on the perches, since mine do not seem to use it, so am wondering if I did it wrong

Chicks should be given something to roost on as soon as they are hatched, dried off enough and walking around. My chicks have been roosting since they were three days old and flying up to a higher teensy branch I put in their brooder since two weeks old.

My red sex links are only 15 weeks - old and are laying already! (a little more than 3 months but never say never)
