Hens leg bleeding?

One of my hens legs is bleeding it looks like a small peck hole but she will not stop pecking at it. How do I get her to stop pecking it so it will heal?

Blie kote or other no peck ointment with a blue or purple color.

You need to look at the wound clean it and make side the is no irritant in the wound first and try to get it to stop bleeding first.

If you cant get blue kote or something and it is still bleeding wrap it loosely with non pain relieving antibiotic ointment a gauze pad and vet wrap. (Vet wrap is the self sticking wrap that most blood labs user after a blood draw).

Tractor supply and most feed stores should have vet wrap and bluekote or something similar

The Blukote or nopeck works well. First check and clean the wound. You want to make sure it isn't abcessed. If you have any available, infant or children's socks with the toes cut off make a good covering for leg injuries.
