I acquired 4 Isa browns who began laying regularly 3 years ago in September 2016. We used natural and artificial light year round, but they still took regular 3-4 week breaks from laying at almost every season change. However, this year, they quit laying in March and have never started back up. Also, 2 of them dropped dead within 3 days of each other of completely unknown cause about a month ago. The 2 that remain are healthy, active and lovely to be around. Just no eggs. Thoughts? Are they old/done? Traumatized? They are getting fed, watered and tended daily; no mites, molting or predator theft.

High production birds pushed for maximum egg laying are generally 'done' by the age of 3. The two that died suddenly may have done so because of reproductive tract problems. I think it's time to add some new pullets to your flock.
