Sup. I'm still on the same topic of these 2 new and problematic Rhode Island Red hens. These girls will not eat their food! I give them crumbles in a bowl and evem out of my hand and they seem so disinterested. I don't understand what's wrong with them. Their crop is empty almost all day, they usually stay inside the coop unless I bring them out, but I don't think they're lethargic because they're new to the place and have no ides where to go, though they aren't as energetic as my other hens.
It's very hot here in Florida so I don't know if that's affecting their appetite. One of the 2 hens barely poop while the other hasn't pooped at all.
I've been giving them Amprolium just in case of Cocci, and this js now the second day I've treated them orally. I'm stumped really.

I guess they'll eat when they get hungry.
What brand and how fresh is the feed?
Purina crumbles and I'm just starting to convert it into Nature's Best organic egg layer crumbles. These girls eat and drink from time-to-time but not much.
