hens not laying much

Hi Guys, probably sounds like a dumb questions, but will my hens lay more eggs if I get a rooster.
We have been on an egg drought for about 4 months now. My girls are just starting to come on again. I have 15 hens and am only now getting 1 egg a day.
please help

Is it possible that only one has started laying yet?

Having a rooster will make no difference but 1 egg from 15 layers is not normal. How old are they? Were they laying before? Any illnesses, molting?

Have u been in the heat wave of 100F+? Giving plenty of water,vitamins, electrolytes? Providing shade, frozen treats, Frozen water bottles ,sprinkler,or pool to cool?

Up till about 4 months ago we were getting between 6 and 9 eggs per day. We have 1 girl who is probably too old at 4/5 yrs but the rest are all under 2 years old. they were healthy and we are in winter at the moment so not too hot. 18to 28 degrees.

I am in the same boat here 11 hens 1-2 eggs a day for months.
