4mo Australorp cross. Not sure with what tho. Hoping they are hens, as they are super sweet and tame. Thanks for the help. 170829_0002.jpg 170829_0000.jpg

Neither of them have pointed feathers on their hackles despite the pattern. I don't mind if one is, really hope both aren't. I have two other hens with 6 chicks each and I am trying to get 9 hens one roo. I guess if both the ones in the pics are Roos I will keep em as long as they behave with each other. They stick together like glue, eat and snuggle on their perch. Would they do that if they were mixed sexes? They were hatch mates.

I look at saddle feathers not hackle. And I see pointy feathers. Especially on the barred one.

I had 2 leghorn males that were best buds like that. When they started noticing girls it changed. The more dominant one would attack his brother.

Some female in certain breeds tend to have pointy saddle feathers.I noticed the easter eggers I got have pointy saddle feathers but they are female.
