Hens or Roos?

About four weeks ago I bought 5 RIR "pullets" from tractor supply along with what I was told was most likely a Red Ranger roo. I'm starting to have doubts about both the Red Ranger and one of my RIR. My RIR in question is named Scragles (name courtesy of my kids due to how the feathers are coming in)

can anyone give me a guess as to which is a he and which is a she. They're both supposed to be 5 weeks old as of yesterday. I know it's early to be trying to say which is which but I really wasn't expecting or wanting to have a RIR roo after reading and hearing multiple stories of their people skills or lack there of.

1 does look like a cockerel. 2 I’m undecided. I would give them another 2/3 weeks so we know for sure! They should start reddening up soon if they’re cockerels.

I'm kinda leaning towards cockerel with the first one, but it is still really early to tell. As for the second one.... maybe cockerel? I've never had a red ranger so I'm not really sure how fast their combs and wattles grow in.
And if your RIR does end up being a cockerel, don't worry too much, I've had Rhode Island Red and production red roosters who were very sweet mellow guys.

Its a little early to tell for sure, but I'm leaning cockerel on Scraggles. Those wattles look more reddish than orangey pink.
Also, as an aside... They're cockerels and pullets until their a year old, then they're roosters and hens.

I think I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Leaning cockerel on the RIR and nothing to go off yet on the other

I believe Scraggles is a cockerel but that will be more obvious in a few weeks. The Red Ranger could go either way. In this photo shoot I'd guess pullet, but that's just a guess.

Agreed with everyone else. Scraggles appears to be a cockerel and the second one a pullet. Too early but that is what I'm going with for now.

Growing up I had a RIR rooster that I raised from a chick. He was a great rooster. Very friendly to the family/people he knew. I wouldn't lose hope yet. He could turn out like my Caramel.

Thanks for all the input it's greatly appreciated. My chicks are now 6 weeks and I know it's still iffy on determining gender. Here's some photo updates.
