hens pecking on hen!

I'm guess that since you don't have the rooster any more, one of the hens decided she is alpha. She probably decided to go after your lame hen and the others followed her. Chiockens don't always play nicely.

When there is no rooster, a hen will often "become" the rooster and start acting bossy, aggressive and sometimes even start crowing and stop laying!
