Hens pecking roosters legs

suddenly discovered this past weekend in both of our chicken tractors that our hens were pecking our roosters legs/feet to bloody red spots! Anyone know why this is happening?

I think your hens care about your rooster by looking after him. They like mother’s you know.
 
Sorry! I missed this. Once there is blood the picking will continue. You can spray their legs with Blue Kote to disguise the wounds and prevent picking
 
Not sure if I agree with your comment about hens looking out for the roosters..they were relentless in pdcking
I understand your frustration, here. Just a note that not everyone on here is an adult and we don't always know everyone's background, either 😉 Did you try the blue kote? Did you seperate the roos?
