This is so weird. We live on a dirt road; well, recently they did chip n seal so it isn't really dirt now. But every time it rains, some of our hens will head down the driveway to the road. Never the roosters. And what they do down there, I don't know. It isn't always the same hens, either.. and usually just two or three at a time. My son said the other day he passed by a farm several miles from our house, when it was raining. Chickens were in the road there, too, but he has not seen them before. What the heck are they doing?!
