I noticed blood droplets today in the coop. Could not find who was the problem. I hung around awhile and noticed one of them was sitting in the corner -facing the corner. Easy to pick up and handle.... no feathers back there (they are all gone) and she is bloody. I don't know "terms" but it appears where the egg comes out. I would take a picture but I don't know how to load it on here..... can I email it to someone?
I really really doubt the others had anything to do with this.... anyone help me? Oh and yes NOW they pick on her. I took her out.

Could be a case of severe feather picking or something else.
Is the blood actually coming from the vent or is it just the feather picked area?
Isolating her was the best thing to do for now-as long as she is with the others, they will pick at bloody, raw spots.

You will have to keep her isolated of course, or they will probably kill her picking at the place. If her rear end is featherless, I doubt she did it herself. Check what easttxchick talked about after you have her cleaned up. Where is the blood coming from????

If she is a young hen and it is her first egg then it is completely normal that a small amount of blood is coming from her vent. The featherless rear end is not normal by any means. If she has an odor and the squirts I would say that you have a dose of enteritis on your hands. The other folks who said to keep her away from the other chickens are right on the money. Right now I would put even money on her being a young pullet, enteritis or she is egg bound. The missing feathers are baffling me though unless the whole flock is in the molt. Chickens will pick at each other, in my opinion, when they dont have enough greens or protein in their diet.

Thanks for the replies... Never did get a picture. The bleeding or rather droplets of blood have stopped, in alone, she pooped an egg! I don't know if this is her first or not. I am thinking not, she is a bit over a year in age. I got all my ladies at a year or more in age. Wanted laying hens THIS year and I have had her for over a week now. But evidently she is isolated and moving around. Yea, they would commit murder if I left her in there. They really are kind of cannibalistic huh? Or meat eaters which always amazed me. I think she is fine, Could be her first egg, I have NO clue.
I appreciate the help and if anyone has anymore to add I will surely look forward to it.
Oh and yes, whole flock of 29 going into or going through molt right now. I am getting more eggs than ever though..... I don't get it. Last week. around 17 - today with hers ^ 22.
