hens sick need help

i have 2 or 3 hens that seem like they have a cold/cough ... i dont know what to do for this its only a very few i even have one young roo doing it too.... there nostrils are kinda runny too

Hi You need to get some Duramycin (tetracycline) from your local farm store. Directions for mixing is on the package. Put it in their water for 7 days and DO NOT stop before the 7 days as it will not have a chance to kill off all the bacteria. Even if they are better in 3-4 days keep giving them the antibiotic water. Good Luck!

You'll need to make a fresh batch every day too. The pkg says it's only good for 24 hrs.

I believe the manufacturer recommends 12-14 days of treatment.

Duramycin is almost useless for most respiratory infections. Get Tylan D at a Tractor Supply or order it online.

Chickens do not get colds. I suggest you read the following links.
