hens sitting down aimlessly

one of my hens seems to sit on the grass for an hour or 2 and she will sit on her eggs for nearnly 3 hours ........ she gets up if u go near her but why is she doing this?????

When did she start doing this? She may be becoming broody

The sitting on the grass isn't really normal behavior. She may be sick--chickens don't really show many signs of illness, but sitting down a lot is one of them.

yes 10 fertiles under her we are on day 2 of them under her now
