My hens are less than a year old, this is their first winter, they(only 4 of 6 of them have started laying though) and they have been laying consistently through winter but they suddenly in the past week/few days haven’t laid at all. We have had some bad weather but could it be because they aren’t getting enough water? Their water heater is not working(and hasn’t this entire winter) so we’ve been bringing hot water in a chick waterer out to them mornings and late afternoons but lately, since it’s been warmer and I thought their normal waterer would be thawed enough to drink from, I haven’t been bringing water out a lot. Is this the problem?
