Hens Stopped Laying ?

I have about 10 hens of assorted breeds and I was gettting about 5 or so eggs a day. Lately I have been only getting 1 or 2. Do they reduce laying in hot temps? It has been in the low 90's for a couple weeks

I wondered the same thing until about ten minutes ago when I opened the coup and discovered a black snake

I'm still shaking.

I would definately freak if that's my explanation

It could be a change in weather that's causing your lack of eggs, they could be gearing up to molt, or they may have just taken a collective day off.

I considered all those things....until today. And it wasn't just one snake. My husband found a second one down there. The snakes are now buzzard feed.
