Does anyone else have a hen who takes the weekends off? Our first of seven hens has started laying, and she's very reliable, lays one egg a day.... but never on the weekend ^-^ We're trying to figure out what's different around the house on the weekends that would upset her. I'm sure the others will get laying soon enough (they are 24 and 22 weeks old). I know not to expect each hen to lay each day, but I thought her schedule was funny
Anyone else have a week day only laying hen? I hope she doesn't teach the other girls this trick
at first I thought it was just a strange thing but it has now become the way it is. My others didn't catch onto it so your probably in luck..my leghorns don't care and now finally my brown egg layers are starting-24 weeks and 2 began this week
