There's a man near me that has Bantam Lavender Ameraucanas. I called asking if he had any pullets. He didn't but said he had a couple of "about 2 year old hens" he could let me have for $15/each. He did say they looked pretty rough right now because they were molting.

Currently I have 5 other Bantam hens that are 9 months-1 year old they would be joining. What do you all think? Get these or wait until he has some pullets?

I'll probably pass. I'm not in that much hurry. I'd like them to not be THAT 'mature' I think. But I don't want to go the straight-run chicks either. Too hard to get rid of the roo's for me.
