what can I feed meat chickens to keep them from getting over weight? They are a 4-H project.

If they are really fat and you are in danger of not making a good showing, try just feeding scratch thrown out once a day at night is best. One hand full per two chickens thrown in a sweeping manner onto the ground, this should help, it has enough protein to sustain them, they will have to work some to get it so they will get some exercise, and it will work sort of like a diet, but it will actually work.
