We have a few different breeds (ameraucanas, buff orps, silver laced wyandottes, red sexlinks, and california white leghorns) and they are all varying ages and we got them at varying times. For the most part the orps stay together, the sexlinks together, the ameraucanas are inseparable! and the leghorns are all together. Its strange how they group themselves. Does everyone elses flock separate themselves or do they all stay together. We have 24 total.

I have noticed that birds of a feather flock together. It sounds like my chickens mix together more than yours, but I've noticed that chickens of a similar color hang out together more.
