hens with scabs on combs?

Is it normal to have hens with scabs on their combs? I think the Roosters are pecking their combs? True?

If the scabs are small, it could be pecking (roosters or hens doing the pecking), insect bites, scrapes from fencing/coop walls/door, etc., or scratches from shrubbery and such if they free range ...

mine have them on the back part of the comb from the rooster mating and grabbing that instead could that be it for you as well?
