We recently got rid of our rooster and ever since the hens won't go to their coop at night. When we had the rooster you could tell time by their behavior of heading to the coop at night. Now, the girls just meander around, some heading in and some just straying around the yard. Any suggestions to get them back on schedule??

They probably got used to the rooster rounding them up at night and it doesn't feel right to just go in, they should eventually get used to a new routine after a bit.

x2 the above. Encourage them to go to the coop in the evenings by giving them a treat there, at a certain time, get them all inside and close the door. Chickens learn routines fairly quick, especially if there is a treat involved somewhere.
