Hens wouldn't leave nests be?????

Hi, I have couple hens { maybe more}that wouldn't leave the nests be! They clean out everything in the nests even the eggs that were layed out on the floor. This is happening every day. It's getting old. Anything to do?? right now all the hens are without nestting straw. Help. We feed them good and they just seens to enjoy doing this.

Are they free range or in a run? How many chickens do you have total? How old are they? Do they lay in the nest box after 'cleaning' it out? How many nest boxes total? Are the nest boxes infested with little critters?
