ok....what does it mean when a hens comb and all that around her face goes red? and what does it mean when its light pink?

When it changes color it usually means she is getting mature enough to lay. When it doesn't .... doesn't necessarily mean anything. Some chicken don't darken up as much.

She could be getting close to laying. I tell Greta and Flora this, but they don't seem to believe me. Bok.
