If you have any advice for forest chichinz, do share!
You have to explain what forest chichinz are or I won’t be able to share whatever I know.

Apparently the ink can be harmful to some. Never had a problem myself, but they have food dye markers, so why not? We label eggs every day and again after boiling. Never had an egg last more than 30 days in the house. (Medical K9 rescue)
I have water-based (kid) markers I bought, then stood and looked at the eggs and talked myself out of it.

Granted, they're safe, but they are water-soluble, so when the eggs are put to 70% humidity in lockdown, that rises to 80% sometimes when they hatch; those eggs get moist. I imagine that "ink" could then be absorbed. Permanent is just a stain on the shell, so it won't.

That's just my reasoning. I went with years ago.
