So, we have a lot of chickens and 2 turkeys… a few days ago A third turkey showed up. He is either an extremely friendly wild turkey or someone’s pet who has rehomed himself to my yard (though none of my neighbors have claimed him). Either way, we now have 3 turkeys and have named him Augusta. He gets along with most everyone and everything, he will even let you pick him up, will lay with the cats, and the dogs and is very friendly with the kids (they were playing a board game out on the back patio table and he actually sat on the table between them as they played the entire time). He also does just fine with the chickens and roams with them and the other turkeys.

However, he has decided that my daughters 6 lb maltipoo is villain #1… he will stalk her and attack her with his wings (he hasn’t pecked her or used claws as of yet) until we spray him with the hose, every time she goes out… anyone perhaps have ever dealt with this before or have a suggestion of what to do? We have attempted to shoo him away… but other than having him end up as Thanksgiving dinner (not an actual option here), I am at a loss… ? We really don’t mind him here, but how do you train a turkey?
